WORK

We regret that we have no vacancies at present

VOLUNTEER

Time to spare?

Do you like making a difference? We need you - volunteers keep us going. This project would not exist without our team of dedicated volunteers. We offer a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment to our volunteers. The work we are involved in is varied, challenging, worthwhile and great fun. It is a great way to meet new friends, try new skills, or practice existing ones. We pay travel expenses for our volunteers.

Words used by our volunteers to describe their views of the project - "Rewarding", "Fun", "A privilege", "Potential".

The Vine Project VolunteersOffice

Monday to Friday

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of people in a friendly and relaxed office, working within the offices carrying out general administrative tasks - phone answering, data entering, general computer work, photocopying etc. You would be dealing with donors, agencies and clients, so it is essential that you have good communication skills. Knowledge of the local area is also helpful for route planning. Full training will be given with regard to the workings of the project.

Van Assistants

Monday to Saturday

Whether you can volunteer during the working week, on Saturdays, or Monday and Tuesday evenings, we have the right opening for you. If you want to make a difference and you can lift, then being a volunteer van assistant is an ideal opportunity. You will be delivering furniture to client’s empty rooms and transforming them into homes. You will also pick up furniture from donors for re-use in the project, thus saving over-loading landfill sites. Training in manual lifting will be given and where appropriate, all van drivers are experienced in supervising volunteers with special needs.

Warehouse

Monday to Saturday

Do you like putting furniture together and doing minor repairs? Then we have just the job for you. As a volunteer warehouse assistant your duties would include building , restoring, and sorting furniture and soft furnishings. We aim to offer our clients the best quality and choice of furniture possible and you would directly be involved in this process. You may also be asked to assist in interviewing clients and showing them round the warehouse with a member of staff.
